Research Focus
My research focuses on bioengineering, biosensing technologies, microfluidics, and micro/nanofabrication for biomedical and environmental applications. I am particularly interested in developing lab-on-a-chip systems, biomimetic platforms, flexible bioelectronics, and advanced biosensors for rapid diagnostics and health monitoring. My work involves cleanroom-based fabrication techniques such as photolithography, thin-film deposition, soft lithography, and microdevice integration. My current research interests include microRNA detection, ZnO- and oxide-based biosensors, organ-on-chip systems, and point-of-care diagnostic technologies that combine engineering, materials science, and biology. As a Research Engineer at New York University Abu Dhabi, my role is to support research projects in these areas through device design, microfabrication, experimental design, and prototyping. I work closely with researchers and students on the development and optimization of microfluidic devices, biosensors, and bioengineering platforms, while also providing technical expertise in cleanroom processes, fabrication workflows, and laboratory experimentation.
